Friggin' Mass Effect from 2007 already had a toggle for helmets (and that game was much more focused on the RPG and "emotions" element), and you're telling a million dollars AAA budget game from 2019 can't?Īnd yes I do know it was like this in AC: Oddysey, but why replicate it here in a game that is so gear-oriented? It's like playing a racing game where you can tune or design your car, but the moment it shows up at the starting lane, it looks literally just like the default one with no enhancements whatsoever. And bottom line: if I want to have a mask/glasses or not - that should my/player's decision, not the game's.

I am actually kinda baffled here, since those faces definitely do not warrant such design decision IMHO.ĥ. But no offense to the animation department - the Facial animations in this game are some of the stiffest I've ever seen and lot of the time out of sync as well. I heard the reason for this, is to show Nomad's "emotions". That amount of detail was pretty big back then so why go literally backwards from this? And why a P227 pistol every time?Ĥ. Even the main weapons would be hanging off his back when not used (apart from the outro scene where Nomad would always use an ACR). In Wildlands, all your gear and weapons would show up on your Nomad and heck, even the rest of his squad. but what is the point when we cannot even see half of it in cutscenes or closeup shots?ģ. Ubisoft probably expects us to drop some money on the gear (either virtual or real) via microtransactions. Why even have it in the game in the first place, then?Ģ. which then dissapears everytime we talk to someone lol. It's even funnier when your character uses an eyepatch. But in combat, after fighting through a full garrison and talking to an NPC - Nomad suddenly drops half of his gear (helmet, mask, headset, glasses, scarf, backpack etc.). It doesn't even make any sense whatsover, unless its in Erewhorn or camp. Yes, I am absolutely loving the Immersive mode, and yes there are some other bigger or gameplay related problems that should take precedence.īut please, can we get a toggle for headgear, backpacks and possibly weapons dissapearing in cutscenes?ġ.

First off, yes the new update is a step into right direction.
